The Springs at Simpsonville’s October Resident of the Month is Carl! Carl is originally from Cambridge, Ohio, but spent the majority of his life in Charleston, SC which is where he calls home. He grew up on a dairy farm but joined the Navy after he graduated from high school. He was a medic (X-ray technician) attached to the Marine Corps. When he was 20 years old, he was stationed in Charleston, SC and remembers getting off the city bus on Calhoun Street and walking the city for the first time.
Our employee of the month for October 2019 is our fabulous resident care assistant, Caitlyn Kimbrell! Caitlyn is originally from Fountain Inn, South Carolina. She is the youngest of three girls in her family, all of which have names that begin with “C.” Her two older sisters are Chelsea and Courtney! Caitlyn graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2016 and joined the team at The Springs in 2018.
The Springs at Simpsonville’s September Employee of the Month is Jessi Satterfield! Jessi is originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She lived in a couple of other places in the state, such as Pelzer and Simpsonville, before moving to her current home in Belton.
The Springs at Simpsonville’s September Resident of the Month is Ms. Mary! Ms. Mary is originally from Clearwater, South Carolina, but moved to Liberty which is where she finished high school.
The Springs at Simpsonville’s August resident of the month is “Fay”! Junie or “Fay” was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. In her life she has lived in the Dunean Mill area, the Pelham/Greer SC area and then moved back to the Dunean Mill village until 1962. She and her husband moved their family to the Donaldson Center area where she lived until finally coming to reside here at The Springs at Simpsonville!

The Springs at Simpsonville’s resident of the month goes to Ann! Ann is originally from Ashwood South Carol, near Bishopville, attended Ashwood Central School for grades 1-12. She moved to Mauldin in the early 1960s after marrying her husband George on May 17th, 1953. George and Ann have been a longstanding member of First Baptist Church of Mauldin.
The Springs at Simpsonville’s July employee of the month goes to Ashley Jackson! Ashley is originally from Douglasville, GA but has been living in Fountain Inn, for the last twelve years. She has two siblings—Josh, 25, and Briana, 22—who both live near her, so she gets to spend a lot of time with family. She also has a dog that she loves dearly named Remmington.
