The Springs at Simpsonville’s May 2020 Employee of the Month is Lynn Gilson! She was born in Albany, Georgia, but has traveled the world and had the opportunity to live in 14 states and one foreign country, Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Springs at Simpsonville’s May 2020 Resident of the Month is Ms. Emma Jane (EJ)! EJ is originally from Jacksonville, Florida, lived briefly in Lubbock, Texas, for college, and then Jefferson City, Tennessee.
Older adults have experienced a lot of historical events, time periods, and economic and cultural changes throughout their lives. From World Wars to the Civil Rights Movement, they were a firsthand witness to the world being shaped into what we know and see today.
While respite care services are commonly offered at communities or through organizations, many family caregivers are still unaware of what they entail. Respite care services are a short-term senior care option that can be scheduled in advance or utilized during a time of emergency when a senior’s primary caregiver may be unable to fulfill their caregiving responsibilities.

The Springs at Simpsonville’s March 2020 Employee of the Month is one of our fabulous caregivers, Rachel Masters! Rachel is a native to Simpsonville, South Carolina, and though she lived in Mauldin, as well, she is happy to be working here at The Springs in her hometown.
The Springs at Simpsonville’s March 2020 Resident of the Month is Ms. Peggy! Peggy was born on Christmas Eve in 1938. Her father was a carpenter and her mother was a homemaker. She has always lived in South Carolina and spent most of her childhood growing up in Liberty, SC. She went to Liberty High School for a while and graduated from Daniel High School.
