Thank you all for making my transition at The Springs such a wonderful experience. I started my journey here about two weeks ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. Every family member, resident, and team member I have encountered has been very welcoming and it makes me extremely blessed to be here. I started my Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living career in 2007. I worked my way through numerous departments before realizing my calling to be an Administrator of a community.
Janice was a vivacious, outgoing person most of her life. When she became widowed at 73, she wasn’t sure how her life would change. She simply knew it was going to change. She didn’t want to live her life without her husband, but that choice was not hers. At that time, the last thing she even would’ve considered was assisted living for senior care services.
Moving can be stressful. In fact, moving, even for something you have been looking forward to for many years, can be stressful. When an aging senior is moving to assisted living, a wonderful elder care option to consider, they are going to need help.

Within the realm of caring for a senior is assisted living. There are many wonderful reasons why an aging person would do well to choose assisted living for their future. The more experience a caregiver has — whether it is a professional who works for an agency or even a family member who has done this for many years –more often they realize just how beneficial assisted living can be.
If your spouse of however many years is having difficulty living at home and needs constant supervision or assistance, that can take a toll on anyone, regardless of age. If you are already in your 70’s, possibly into your 80’s, you don’t want to turn your back on him or her. However, even though you understand assisted living is a great option, you wonder if it is time yet or if you can still both remain home and together.
