Amber Budley – Employee of the Month

The Springs at Simpsonville‘s January 2020 Employee of the Month is Amber Budley! Amber is originally from Greenville, South Carolina, and has spent most of her life here apart from one year she lived in Washington State.
Amber attended Woodmont High School, and after she graduated in 2010, she attended Greenville Technical Collage to study Surgical Technology. Amber has been married to her husband, Rob, for six years. They are a big blended family with five children: Brayden (12), Bayleigh (10), Jason (8), Kyliee (8), and Maddie (4).
As a mom of five, it’s no surprise that Amber says one of her favorite things to do is sleep! She also really loves getting to watch movies with her family or going out to the theatre to see them.
In her life, the top three things Amber is most proud of is being a mom, being a wife, and being in a good work environment. Amber has been at The Springs at Simpsonville for almost two years now. She decided to join the team because she has always enjoyed making connections with people. Amber loves getting to connect with the residents, in the day-to-day things she assists them with and by hearing their life stories.
“I’ve learned to care and love other people other than my own actual family members, …but just as much as I love my family!”
And she feels that the residents have definitely loved on her a lot, too. If she’s ever having a bad day, there is one resident she will always go to visit. “She always has a way to cheer me up and make me smile,” Amber says.
