Events at The Springs at Simpsonville
On Good Friday, (schools will be closed) we will be having an Easter Egg Hunt for both residents and their families. We will also have photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, and live bunnies thanks to Emit’s Farm. Please join us on 3/7/23 from 1:30- 4:30 for an “EGG”citing afternoon!
We are thrilled to announce that on Monday, April 3rd First Baptist Simpsonville Church will hold a special Easter service for our residents and their families. The church is across the street and we will bus over our seniors; however, if you will be joining us and want to pick up your Mom or Dad, and take them yourself, you are more than welcome to.
Many families have just started following us on Facebook and are amazed at how much their Mom or Dad participates in activities. We encourage everyone to like and follow the Springs at Simpsonville. It is a great way to see what our seniors do throughout the day!
March sure does have a lot of Birthdays! Ten special seniors will be celebrated this month. Although each resident is recognized, sung to, and fussed over on their actual Birthday, we will have cake or cupcakes the last week in March to celebrate all of them together!
We are blessed to offer Church services several times throughout the month. Luckily, we are now happy to announce we found a preacher to hold weekly services in the Cove. Preacher Bryan will hold a weekly church service every Wednesday at 10:00 am for our seniors in memory care.
St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated by all. Our seniors enjoyed Shamrock shakes, assorted desserts, Irish music, and of course fellowship. Of course, it would not be St. Patty’s Day if we did not dress up and take photos!
We had our first bus ride outing in a long time. We treated 16 of our seniors to one of Simpsonville’s favorite restaurants, the Coach House. We are thrilled to announce that we have a bus driver, Don and he is fantastic! He has committed to driving 3 times a month ( 2 for AL & 1 for MC ). As I mentioned earlier, the Springs treated our seniors but moving forward, if meals or movie/play tickets are purchased on bus rides we will simply add the cost of the purchase to your loved one’s monthly bill.
A huge thank you to all families who donate and contribute throughout the year. Our activity department has a “wish list” for monthly items and many of you have brought in gift cards, bingo candy, paper products, tablecloths, etc… We can not express enough how much your donations and YOU are appreciated. Thank you!
